Description

There are many use cases of leveraging AI for public service delivery. In this presentation, we will provide an overview of some of them. One of our topics will be public safety.

A.I. computer vision can be used for monitoring structural integrity of bridges and other infrastructure, which can go further and use AI predictive maintenance to inform decision makers about potential upcoming failures on which it has been trained on past data. When it comes to public transport, AI is being used for improving the efficiency of public transportation systems during planning, but it is also being used for optimizing traffic flow and reducing congestion in real-time.

AI can also contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of government buildings by increasing energy efficiency during heating and cooling.

And since public services handle large amount of citizen information, there is a long list of services that can be enhanced with AI large language models and chatbots that can accelerate customized answers to citizen questions (24/7), while taking great care at ensuring the highest standards in data privacy. Also, large amounts of citizen questions can be distilled with AI techniques into suggestions to improve public services inspired by most prevalent demands using AI intention detection. Another example is using A.I. to improve the match between job seekers and employers based on past data
