Betsy Hilliard is the Chief Science Officer at Valkyrie, an AI, ML, and Knowledge Engineering firm. She has worked with dozens of companies across many verticals including defense, financial services, consumer hardware products, and staffing agencies. Scientifically, she specializes in graph-based machine learning, responsible AI, optimization, Reinforcement Learning, and recommendation systems. Previously, Betsy worked at USAA Bank, Google, Yahoo!, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Betsy completed her graduate work in Computer Science at Brown University. She studied Computer Science and Economics at Brandeis University. She lives in Austin, TX with her husband and toddler.
